We recently asked our local community members to help bridge the gap in Vancouver Island's current recycling infrastructure.  On April 22nd (Earth Day), our family offered a free collection service to transport our community's flexible plastics to the Hartland landfill recycling centre.  This recycling initiative diverted 2m³, or 15 extra-large garbage bags, of recyclable waste from our local landfill.  This material is now being transformed into plastic pellets and will eventually be manufactured into new consumer products!

If you took part in our Earth Day 2025 recycling initiative, THANK YOU!  We are incredibly appreciative of your interest and support.  Not only did this initiative have a positive impact on the environment, but it also inspired important conversations about recycling, resources, opportunities, and future development.
